Summer is here! Can you tell? I haven't blogged much because I have been hanging with the kids! No schedule...it is great! We start camps and summer school next week. sigh....at least the summer is extra long!
I had a totally fun workshop last night with some roudy women. You know who you are....! This is one of the projects we did. The patterned paper you see is from the Palete of pattern sampler pack (yes, I probably spelled that wrong Jesse...) that is available this month. I LOVE the patterns and the colors! On this 6 x 6 page I used the Almost Amethyst and Certainly Celery papers, mounted on a Certainly Celery page base. The squares are all 2 x 2. I sponged the edges of all the squares with Chocolate chip ink to pull them all toghether and to go with the brown ribbon I used for the flower stems. The flower on top is stamped with Amethyst onto white cardstock. The one on the left is stamped with White Craft ink onto celery and the one on the right is stamped with white craft onto amethyst cardstock. I "enhanced" the dots in the middle with my super white gel pen. At the workshop I let everyone pick their own colors of patterned paper from the stack to personalize their page. Some people made a card instead. It is amazing to me how different people can make things. They all looked great! Even tho lots of different colors were used, when the edges were all sponged with the brown, they all coordinated. Awesome trick! Enjoy!
