Playing around again with My Digital Studio. This is another designer page that is available. I changed the colors and added the brads. Other than that, it is as it comes. The flowers were in a darker blue and burgundy, and the dotted circles were in a brown color. I wanted this page to go more with the 'syncho' or water theme, even tho there isn't water on the page. These are the girls that were on the swim team with Sarah. Fun times, fun girls, easy page!!

Pinewood derby page

My Digital Studio strikes again! I loved this premade designer page! The colors are fun and very masculine. Perfect for a page about the pinewood derby! I changed a few elements but kept the layout. Easy peasy!!!

Here is another premade My Digital Studio page I played with yesterday. I changed the words...mostly because I wanted more 'face space' and shifted it all UP a bit (I have tall kids) but the colors and everything else is as it comes in the designer page. Talk about quick!! You need to try this out!

Hello again! It has been a crazy.....few months I guess. I have neglected my blog and I appologize. I have been doing a lot of writing on my book and other blog. If you are interested, you can see some of my work here www.causeisaidso.me
I spent some time working with My Digital Studio the other day. I had purchased a lot of downloads and could not find them in my program! It was a bit frustrating. I called Stampin' Up! and they told me that things had changed in how the downloads were ....downloaded. The items no longer go straight to your program if you are on a MAC. SO, I had to find my downloads and manually put them into the program. Not a big deal if you do them one at a time as you buy them but...I had 'several' and it took a whole day! Yes, I 'need' to have them all. Almost all. Anyway!
This is a designer page that was already formatted. I did do a lot of moving and changing tho. The polka dots are an add, as is the blue stripe on the right and the rust right border. I moved the words, added the top note die sticking out on the left and added a brown button.  So, now,....I can say it is all mine! lol That is one of the great things about My Digital Studio. You can really customize it!! I love it! I'm sure I will have more pages to share soon...as well as all the stampin I HAVE been doing and not posting so...check back! I promise not to disappoint!

A brand new year. In the past I have made it a point to NOT make resolutions. I think it was basically because I don't like doing what every one else is doing. I'm not the kind to follow the crowd and do things simply because it is popular. This is also my excuse for being such a dorky outcast all through junior high and high school. Yeah, it was all part of my plan. Whatever.
This year, I think I may actually set a few goals. I have been very impressed by my son's diligence in keeping to a strict schedule. He almost always goes to bed before everyone else in the house and it up and out the door before I have hit the snooze button for the second time. He has a crazy busy schedule and serious goals in mind and has done extremely well so far. He has inspired me to try and get to bed on time. I have to admit a bit of hesitancy here because...I am quite a night owl. I always have been at my most creative in the middle of the night. Now, before you get any weird ideas about that statement, I am referring to doing last minute essays and other homework, finishing up 150 swaps for a Stampin' Up! event, or feverishly sewing the last bits of the Christmas projects I put off til Christmas Eve.
Looking back, I think what I may have considered "creative night owl syndrome" may really be more of a "conquistador of chaos" (thanks goes to Juli Morgenstern for that term). I wait until the last possible moment and then voila! I pull the proverbial rabbit out of my hat and it all works out. I don't know that I work well under pressure like that, but I don't quit til I'm done.
I am wondering what will happen if I actually start things in the morning. You know, that time BEFORE the kids are gone to school. That time of day when my crazy sister goes bike riding and working out and all those things that cause her to injure herself and look good while she does it. Maybe I would sleep better planning ahead for the next day instead of lying half awake hoping and praying I finished everything on time. I don't know...it is an idea. Besides....I keep hearing that "early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise" run through my head. And seriously.....who couldn't use a little more health, wealth and wisdom? I'm 'up' for the challenge...first thing tomorrow. Cause I said so....

***this was meant for my 'other blog' ....sorry about that. If you liked it and would like to read more of my daily rantings, go to www.causeisaidso.wordpress.com. Thanks!
