Moving update

I know that several of you are wondering what the heck is going on at my house right now. Me too....:o)
After much deliberation and schedule balancing and soul searching and prayer, I have decided to relocate my family to Arizona. My family is all there so it only makes sense that we go there. It is a bittersweet thing for me because I really love it here! I have made such wonderful friends! If it weren't for my children, I would stay. But, I am a mom, first and fore most and must do what is best for the kids. Don't get me wrong, I will love being close to my family as well. They are wonderful!
Our estimated date of departure is June 18th. That is not written in stone, but more of a goal. The kids have music and scout camps so we are planning to stay for those and then take off. We will hurry to Arizona and try to get our home set up a bit before my oldest daughter comes home. She has been at an adventure camp in Utah for two weeks, trying to work through some of her issues. I am missing her terribly. Talk about tough love..it was the hardest thing in the world for me to send her off, but I really believe it was the best thing for her. She was heading down a path that led to no good. Any prayers you can send her way would be greatly appreciated!
I will keep you all updated as to when we actually depart Florida. Oh, and watch for a big yard sale notification! I have WAY too much stuff in this house! Our new house is a bit smaller so I need to down size a bit.
I will be keeping up with my blog as I go along and hope to be able to share lots more creative art and organizing with you all.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day! Special thanks to all the wonderful people in the service of our country. WE honor you today.

Wishing you well for your big move. It will be quite a difference moving to the desert! :) But, hey you're moving closer to me, so I can't complain. I'll continue to pray for your family during this next step and hope it all goes smoothly for all of you. I get dibs on the Cricut, heeheee! I'm kidding.

Hey Beckie...
Lot's of thoughts and prayers for you and your family as you go through some major life changes. I'm glad you are coming to Arizona. I know your family will be huge support for you. What area are you moving to? I'd love to come to your Stampin' Up classes if you end up in the East Valley! :) Gayle Moore

I will keep you and your daughter in my prayers! I know that had to be very difficult, but sometimes the most difficult things are the best for us!

Good luck on the move and packing bit. I am glad that you will be by your family.

Fridays challenge #63

This week has been crazy. We had a fun Labor day and then actually went to school the rest of the week! The storms decided to stay away for a while. I'm glad. Our challenge this time was a color challenge. The colors are Ridinghood red, Tangerine and Pacific Point. All new In Colors at Stampin' Up! for the new catalog. I love all these colors but, together....they were a challenge! I decided to play up the red and blue and use the tangerine as a highlight. I pulled out my True Friend stamp set and stamped the large medallion style stamp all over the ridinghood red using my basic black stamp pad. It looked okay....but then I remembered the Banadana technique Pat shared in a recent Technique Junkie newsletter . You all know how much I LOVE my white gel pen, so...I went to work. I won't tell you how the bandana technique works, you'll have to visit Pat for that info. She puts out a fabulous newsletter every other month, FULL of great stampin ideas. I hear she has some gre...

Birthday blog candy!

In honor of my birthday, I am offering another package of blog candy! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite thing about getting older. :o) The candy includes a package of cardstock, metal edge tags, sanding block, cool metal border stickers, silver gel pen, and a set of mini gift cards stamped by yours truly. For some reason, my 'rechargeable batteries' decided not to 'recharge' anymore. I am quite distraught about that. I planned to share these pictures a couple of days ago, but....I had to wait til I bought some new batteries. I have to say tho, I was really afraid I had broken my camera! I'm glad it is just the batteries! I borrowed my friend's Precious stamp set the other day and have been having fun with it! I made this card using a square card base of chocolate chip (5-12" square). I stamped the swirlies in blue bayou onto a large piece of whisper white and onto a smaller piece. I cut out a butterfly and stuck i...

Soccer, projects and....Blog Candy!!

Okay, I know I promised to post some blog candy a couple days ago but, what was I thinking? The weekend has become the crazy part of my week! We have entered the World of Soccer. All you soccer moms out there will totally know what I am talking about. We are still in the little leagues of it, only one practice a week and one game. Per child of course....I'm glad my son decided he didn't want to play. Two kids is enough! It was a beautiful weekend tho. The weather was awesome. The sun got bright during the afternoon game, but every few minutes it would rain so, it kept us nice an comfy. Only in Florida can you have rain on a sunny day. It is one of the wonders of the world. I put together a few goodies for Blog Candy today. I have been having way too much fun making stuff with coasters and patterned paper lately. Stampin' Up! has made it even easier to use these two items together by offering the Tombow Liquid Adhesive. If you haven't used it, you've got to! It is aw...
