I hope you are all having a great weekend! I have been so busy...do I say that all the time? I think I do. I apologize. I guess I am just still getting used to having teenagers. They are alway going somewhere. It wears me out! I promised to share more of the awesome birthday cards I received at my party. Here is a really cool card by Jesse S. She is so creative...more so than she knows! She is a great lover of purple, like me! I really like how she made this card. You can't see the inside, but the collage theme continues in there. It is a fun card! This next card is by my good friend Laurel P. She cut out the oval in the middle and put a beautiful picture of purple flowers in it. It is almost th ree dimensional. Very cool! I especially like the stitching around the oval. I LOVE getting hand made cards! This sweet card was from Shari B. She is a new demonstrator, but you sure can't tell that by her stamping! She has a great eye! She is also very sweet. She drove all the way over to my house to hand deliver this card, the flowers behind it, and a balloon...all on the day before she was going in for surgery! What a friend! She used the Notations designer paper, the cool spiral punch, stapler, and the It's your Birthday stamp set. I love it!! This next card was also hand delivered. It came from Michele G, all the way from another town! She drove all the way over to give it to me. I tell ya, I was feeling the LOVE yesterday!! Michele used the Serene Sunflower for her card and not only did she stamp it great...she cut it out! This has to be the hardest flower in the catty to cut out! sheesh! It looks awesome!

Today was my birthday. I am 30 and some change. I had a wonderful day! I decided to throw myself a party. Why not?! My friend, the amazingly talented Amy came and taught me and some friends an awesome bead project. We had a ball! I have the best friends in the world. They brought, gifts, food, and LOADS of fun! I felt very blessed today! Thanks guys!! I am going to share some of the awesome handmade cards they brought me over the next few days. I am too tired to do much tonight...must be the old age! This card was actually sent to me by Karen Giron. A dear friend that shares my same birthday! She lives in Colorado tho. It is a totally cute card and the very first birthday card I received this year. Way to be on the ball Karen!!

I tried to post these pictures yesterday but there was a problem with blogger. So, I am trying again today! I have been SO busy lately! Doing lots of good things, but not much time for stampin or bloggin. I usually stamp on Tuesday but had the opportunity to help out a good friend so...I stamped today. I also had the plumber coming today...I've waited almost 2 months for that guy so, I was going to be here! I was expecting a huge amount of work and a huge bill to match, but...it wasn't bad at all! I love that! But, I tell ya, plumbers make the money! The labor was more than 4 times the material and he was only here ...just over an hour! Anyway! I did stamp today! Here are two cards that I came up with. One is a Mother's day card that was inspired by a card Debbie Olsen did a few days ago. Spring is definitely in the air here in Florida. Of course...since we have spring like weather all winter, what that really means is...it was hot! Not too bad yet, but I think the cool weather is coming to an end. I took advantage of the weather and had myself a 3-1/2 hour nap today. I know, that doesn't sound fair, but since I have been staying up really late for the last week and still getting up really early, I felt I was due. I feel much better! I took some time this evening to make a few simple spring cards. I pulled out the Bodacious Boquet set and came up with these two cards. I used the prescored cards and envelopes from SU for my card bases. On this one, I stamped the daisy in Summer sun and the stem in Certainly celery. I added a few bold button to the centers and tied a spring green ribbon through some 1/8 inch holes to look like leaves. The spring tag is from the everyday expressions stamped on one of my tags from the tag sheet. It is funny...I have had these tag sheets...

I stamped today!! I was busy all day, but I just made some time tonight to make a card. I needed an extra special card for a dear friend. She sent me a surprise package in the mail yesterday...I was so excited!! She truly is wonderful. For this card, I started with the premade square white SU cards and envelopes. I stamped the canvas background in basic brown onto a square of rose red cardstock and then stamped the French script over that in the same color, but only on half of the background. Now, the canvas stamp is not as wide as this card so in order to cover the entire square I inked it up and moved it around a couple of times, overlapping where I stamped. It gives it a weathered fabric look and makes it so you can't really see any seams. I also rubbed the edges of the red with my Bloody Mary chalk spot to distress it a bit. I mounted my rose red onto a square of chocolate chip and set it aside. For my flower, I used watercolor paper and stamped again with the Basic Brown. I us...

Happy Easter!! I thought I would share a scrap page that had springy colors on it. These are pictures of my younger daughter Sarah. She is a lot of fun! She is our peacemaker in the family. She has such a tender heart. We were trying to take pictures of the kids in the back yard for Grandma's yearly scrap pages and the kids had fun doing lots of poses. These pages went together pretty easily. I started with two 12 x 12 sheets of whisper white cardstock. I then took two sheets of barely banana cardstock and cut curvy lines on them. I adhere the banana paper to some pixie pink paper and cut more curves in the pink. It was all quite random.... Then I took those layered pixie and banana papers and adhered them to the white page bases. I used blue gingam ribbon over the pixie and banana seams and then punched out a large quantity of daisies and circles in the pixie, white, banana, and celery cardstock. I put my pictures on coordinating cardstock layers and then adhered them to the page....
