I'm finished!!

Some of you may know that I have a scrapbooking business. It is called 200 Trees. It is named for my awesome yard that has over 200 trees. Anyway, I scrapbook for other people. The last couple of weeks I have been working on a graduation album for a client. It was a lot of fun but also a lot of work. I had SO many other things going on with the end of the school year and other projects...not to mention every day family matters. I am happy to report that I finished the album on time! whew! It ended up being 46 pages. I think I must have done at least 30 of them on Saturday! It turned out well. I hope the graduate likes it! I am just sharing a couple of pages that I made. This first one uses the treehouse papers and Doodle this from SU. I also added a bit of ribbon from my ribbon stash. The leaves and buds by the flowers are just hand drawn. That is one of the things I LOVE about this set...you can easily add to it.
This next page was done using basic grey papers and a vellum quote. The journaling is temporary...I just copied what was on the back of the photo so mom could re-write it herself. The prima flowers are stuck on with mini glue dots and then dotted in the center with Stickles. The hardest part on this page was getting the heart the right size.
School gets out on Wednesday. yay! Then the fun really begins. I am working on the 'summer charts' today. We worked out a point system for the kids to earn their allowance. The goal is that they will actually DO some things around the house and that they will have their own money to spend and thereby won't be constantly asking MOM for money. We shall see...If you have any great tips on how to get your kids to do their chores, I am always up for suggestions!!
Have a great day!

Wow, good for you on getting the scrapbook done :)! Just curious about your scrapbooking for others business, how do you charge the people? Do you charge a flat rate?

Fridays challenge #63

This week has been crazy. We had a fun Labor day and then actually went to school the rest of the week! The storms decided to stay away for a while. I'm glad. Our challenge this time was a color challenge. The colors are Ridinghood red, Tangerine and Pacific Point. All new In Colors at Stampin' Up! for the new catalog. I love all these colors but, together....they were a challenge! I decided to play up the red and blue and use the tangerine as a highlight. I pulled out my True Friend stamp set and stamped the large medallion style stamp all over the ridinghood red using my basic black stamp pad. It looked okay....but then I remembered the Banadana technique Pat shared in a recent Technique Junkie newsletter . You all know how much I LOVE my white gel pen, so...I went to work. I won't tell you how the bandana technique works, you'll have to visit Pat for that info. She puts out a fabulous newsletter every other month, FULL of great stampin ideas. I hear she has some gre...

Birthday blog candy!

In honor of my birthday, I am offering another package of blog candy! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite thing about getting older. :o) The candy includes a package of cardstock, metal edge tags, sanding block, cool metal border stickers, silver gel pen, and a set of mini gift cards stamped by yours truly. For some reason, my 'rechargeable batteries' decided not to 'recharge' anymore. I am quite distraught about that. I planned to share these pictures a couple of days ago, but....I had to wait til I bought some new batteries. I have to say tho, I was really afraid I had broken my camera! I'm glad it is just the batteries! I borrowed my friend's Precious stamp set the other day and have been having fun with it! I made this card using a square card base of chocolate chip (5-12" square). I stamped the swirlies in blue bayou onto a large piece of whisper white and onto a smaller piece. I cut out a butterfly and stuck i...

Soccer, projects and....Blog Candy!!

Okay, I know I promised to post some blog candy a couple days ago but, what was I thinking? The weekend has become the crazy part of my week! We have entered the World of Soccer. All you soccer moms out there will totally know what I am talking about. We are still in the little leagues of it, only one practice a week and one game. Per child of course....I'm glad my son decided he didn't want to play. Two kids is enough! It was a beautiful weekend tho. The weather was awesome. The sun got bright during the afternoon game, but every few minutes it would rain so, it kept us nice an comfy. Only in Florida can you have rain on a sunny day. It is one of the wonders of the world. I put together a few goodies for Blog Candy today. I have been having way too much fun making stuff with coasters and patterned paper lately. Stampin' Up! has made it even easier to use these two items together by offering the Tombow Liquid Adhesive. If you haven't used it, you've got to! It is aw...
