In the beginning....

Okay, so Michelle showed me her stellar blog and I, like many of you are a frequent visitor to the stamping goddes Debi Olsen's blog, so I decided...why not? I might as well start one myself. It took some time, I tell ya, don't be fooled into the "its so easy" claim. I started out making the blog last night on my husbands computer downstairs instead of my own because it was cold upstairs! In the middle I decided to change computers because all the pictures are on my computer. Don't ya know....I couldn't find my blog! I'm tellin ya, it was gone! I finally gave up and went to bed. This morning I called my bestest friend Michelle and of course, my blog was right there. I think Michelle is definitley good luck!
So now that I have spent all this valuable time that I should have been spending on my HOF layouts building a blog...I better get back to work! wish me luck!

Hey, I like this idea. But, what are HOF and SAB or whatever? Anyway, I know you're creative and fun. I enjoy seeing what you've come up with-you always make it look so easy...maybe I'll give something a try...
Love ya

Fridays challenge #63

This week has been crazy. We had a fun Labor day and then actually went to school the rest of the week! The storms decided to stay away for a while. I'm glad. Our challenge this time was a color challenge. The colors are Ridinghood red, Tangerine and Pacific Point. All new In Colors at Stampin' Up! for the new catalog. I love all these colors but, together....they were a challenge! I decided to play up the red and blue and use the tangerine as a highlight. I pulled out my True Friend stamp set and stamped the large medallion style stamp all over the ridinghood red using my basic black stamp pad. It looked okay....but then I remembered the Banadana technique Pat shared in a recent Technique Junkie newsletter . You all know how much I LOVE my white gel pen, so...I went to work. I won't tell you how the bandana technique works, you'll have to visit Pat for that info. She puts out a fabulous newsletter every other month, FULL of great stampin ideas. I hear she has some gre...

Birthday blog candy!

In honor of my birthday, I am offering another package of blog candy! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite thing about getting older. :o) The candy includes a package of cardstock, metal edge tags, sanding block, cool metal border stickers, silver gel pen, and a set of mini gift cards stamped by yours truly. For some reason, my 'rechargeable batteries' decided not to 'recharge' anymore. I am quite distraught about that. I planned to share these pictures a couple of days ago, but....I had to wait til I bought some new batteries. I have to say tho, I was really afraid I had broken my camera! I'm glad it is just the batteries! I borrowed my friend's Precious stamp set the other day and have been having fun with it! I made this card using a square card base of chocolate chip (5-12" square). I stamped the swirlies in blue bayou onto a large piece of whisper white and onto a smaller piece. I cut out a butterfly and stuck i...

Soccer, projects and....Blog Candy!!

Okay, I know I promised to post some blog candy a couple days ago but, what was I thinking? The weekend has become the crazy part of my week! We have entered the World of Soccer. All you soccer moms out there will totally know what I am talking about. We are still in the little leagues of it, only one practice a week and one game. Per child of course....I'm glad my son decided he didn't want to play. Two kids is enough! It was a beautiful weekend tho. The weather was awesome. The sun got bright during the afternoon game, but every few minutes it would rain so, it kept us nice an comfy. Only in Florida can you have rain on a sunny day. It is one of the wonders of the world. I put together a few goodies for Blog Candy today. I have been having way too much fun making stuff with coasters and patterned paper lately. Stampin' Up! has made it even easier to use these two items together by offering the Tombow Liquid Adhesive. If you haven't used it, you've got to! It is aw...
