Easy peasy...


I saw a stellar card on another blog the other day....Beate or Claire Daly... Can't remember, Anyway! They did a card like this one that had all the flowers cut out and layered and wow! THIS is my style. Same layout, but doable before you run out the door to visit that friend, go to the party, etc. The background is stamped with versamark, the flowers and words are stamped with black Stazon. I watercolored with my chalks and blender pens and did it quick! I can see that some layers and some glitter and such would really make it look great but...do you have time today? Not me! I'm SO glad we have those awesome artists that spend all that time doing the awesome art projects to inspire us. I love it! I'm just lazy! At least, today I am!

Birthday blog candy!

In honor of my birthday, I am offering another package of blog candy! Soccer, projects and....Blog Candy!!

Okay, I know I promised to post some blog candy a couple days ago but, what was I thinking? The weekend has become the crazy part of my week! We have entered the World of Soccer. All you soccer moms out there will totally know what I am talking about. We are still in the little leagues of it, only one practice a week and one game. Per child of course....I'm glad my son decided he didn't want to play. Two kids is enough! It was a beautiful weekend tho. The weather was awesome. The sun got bright during the afternoon game, but every few minutes it would rain so, it kept us nice an comfy. Only in Florida can you have rain on a sunny day. It is one of the wonders of the world. I put together a few goodies for Blog Candy today. I have been having way too much fun making stuff with coasters and patterned paper lately. Fridays challenge #63

This week has been crazy. We had a fun Labor day and then actually went to school the rest of the week! The storms decided to stay away for a while. I'm glad. Our challenge this time was a color challenge. The colors are Ridinghood red, Tangerine and Pacific Point. All new In Colors at Stampin' Up! for the new catalog. I love all these colors but, together....they were a challenge! I decided to play up the red and blue and use the tangerine as a highlight. I pulled out my True Friend stamp set and stamped the large medallion style stamp all over the ridinghood red using my basic black stamp pad. It looked okay....but then I remembered the Banadana technique Pat shared in a recent Technique Junkie newsletter . You all know how much I LOVE my white gel pen, so...I went to work.
