Brushed Blooms bundle..retiring soon!!

I absolutely love this bundle! The stamp set is so very versatile and easy to use. I love how the dies make the image go 3D and they make me feel like an artist. This bundle will be retiring at the end of June! You can get it at a discount until then. Check it out on my online store here:  https://beckiecarlson.stampinup.net / Here are some cards I made with the bundle that I love! This first one uses the brushed background die. I die cut from white paper and brushed the edges with Sahara sand. I scored the paper at one inch intervals to mimic a plank wall or floor. I like how it turned out. The polka dot layer was actually a left over sticker from a past Paper Pumpkin kit! Use those scraps! This next one is a similar layout, but instead of layering the die-cut strips on top, I used the negative space left over and sponged that a bit with some blushing bride pink. The DSP is from the True love package that is retiring this month. This example has no layering aside from the gr...

Blossoms in Bloom

I've been playing a lot with this set. It isn't one that I thought I would like much at first. It seemed pretty confining when I saw it in the catalog. Boy was I wrong! I have used it many, many times for all occasions! Here are a few of the samples I've made recently. The Blossoms in bloom set has a set of die cuts that layer up really nicely. If you look close you can see that there is a black die-cut and a white die-cut. I traced the die on a piece of rainbow glitter paper and fussy cut that out to go as my base. I layered it all on a Whisper White card base backed with a piece of Black cardstock. The happy birthday greeting is also in the stamp set. It has several sentiments in it. This one really shines in person with all that glittery paper! This next one was a lot of fun to make. I did a partial die cutting technique to get the banner look in the middle of the blossoms. The way I did this was to tape my die to a piece of white cardstock using washi tape. I put the ta...

Forever Ferns

It's been Forever...Ferns! I've been getting my Stampin mojo back in shape lately. I've had lots of time due to the COVID Crisis. We have been home enjoying quality time since Spring Break in April. It has been a huge blessing to have this time with my kids. I have been reminded what it was like to be a stay at home mom.  My classes are going strong, in spite of the social glitches. We meet on the 3rd and 4th Saturday of each month. This month we will be playing with the new  Forever Ferns stamp set and matching die. I have seen so many fantastic samples with this set! Here are the cards we will be making this month...most likely. I'm still playing so, they may change! This first card was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest. The background rectangle is actually a clear block inked up with celery, old olive, garden green, and Bermuda bay ins. I spritzed the inked block with water and let the color run together. Then, I just 'stamped' the block onto my whisper whit...

Polka quilt

I just love projects that can be made with my leftover scraps! This is a great example of just that kind of project. The colors are fun and sunny. Notice how the ribbon goes under the rectangle with the button to really make it pop!
