Brushed Blooms bundle..retiring soon!!

I absolutely love this bundle! The stamp set is so very versatile and easy to use. I love how the dies make the image go 3D and they make me feel like an artist. This bundle will be retiring at the end of June! You can get it at a discount until then. Check it out on my online store here: https://beckiecarlson.stampinup.net/

Here are some cards I made with the bundle that I love!

This first one uses the brushed background die. I die cut from white paper and brushed the edges with Sahara sand. I scored the paper at one inch intervals to mimic a plank wall or floor. I like how it turned out. The polka dot layer was actually a left over sticker from a past Paper Pumpkin kit! Use those scraps!

This next one is a similar layout, but instead of layering the die-cut strips on top, I used the negative space left over and sponged that a bit with some blushing bride pink. The DSP is from the True love package that is retiring this month.

This example has no layering aside from the greeting. I used the striped stencil to add dimension to the background. I used the blending brushes with Gorgeous Grade and Pool Party for the stripes. The roses are also stamped in Gorgeous Grape with Old olive for the leaves. Just because...

These last two are my favorites! The layout is the same but there are subtle differences. I used the Die from the Fabulous Fern set on one and stamped the leaves directly on the background on the other. I really love how these turned out. If you like them too, don't miss out on this bundle! It retires at the end of June. You can purchase it on my website here: https://beckiecarlson.stampinup.net/

Fridays challenge #63

This week has been crazy. We had a fun Labor day and then actually went to school the rest of the week! The storms decided to stay away for a while. I'm glad. Our challenge this time was a color challenge. The colors are Ridinghood red, Tangerine and Pacific Point. All new In Colors at Stampin' Up! for the new catalog. I love all these colors but, together....they were a challenge! I decided to play up the red and blue and use the tangerine as a highlight. I pulled out my True Friend stamp set and stamped the large medallion style stamp all over the ridinghood red using my basic black stamp pad. It looked okay....but then I remembered the Banadana technique Pat shared in a recent Technique Junkie newsletter . You all know how much I LOVE my white gel pen, so...I went to work. I won't tell you how the bandana technique works, you'll have to visit Pat for that info. She puts out a fabulous newsletter every other month, FULL of great stampin ideas. I hear she has some gre...

Soccer, projects and....Blog Candy!!

Okay, I know I promised to post some blog candy a couple days ago but, what was I thinking? The weekend has become the crazy part of my week! We have entered the World of Soccer. All you soccer moms out there will totally know what I am talking about. We are still in the little leagues of it, only one practice a week and one game. Per child of course....I'm glad my son decided he didn't want to play. Two kids is enough! It was a beautiful weekend tho. The weather was awesome. The sun got bright during the afternoon game, but every few minutes it would rain so, it kept us nice an comfy. Only in Florida can you have rain on a sunny day. It is one of the wonders of the world. I put together a few goodies for Blog Candy today. I have been having way too much fun making stuff with coasters and patterned paper lately. Stampin' Up! has made it even easier to use these two items together by offering the Tombow Liquid Adhesive. If you haven't used it, you've got to! It is aw...

Birthday blog candy!

In honor of my birthday, I am offering another package of blog candy! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite thing about getting older. :o) The candy includes a package of cardstock, metal edge tags, sanding block, cool metal border stickers, silver gel pen, and a set of mini gift cards stamped by yours truly. For some reason, my 'rechargeable batteries' decided not to 'recharge' anymore. I am quite distraught about that. I planned to share these pictures a couple of days ago, but....I had to wait til I bought some new batteries. I have to say tho, I was really afraid I had broken my camera! I'm glad it is just the batteries! I borrowed my friend's Precious stamp set the other day and have been having fun with it! I made this card using a square card base of chocolate chip (5-12" square). I stamped the swirlies in blue bayou onto a large piece of whisper white and onto a smaller piece. I cut out a butterfly and stuck i...
