3-D projects

Okay, I am having way too much fun reading all your awesome birthday posts! I'm getting some great ideas for my birthday. Maybe I will have my DH read these too...hint hint. ;o)

I promised to show you all some of the things I have been working on for my craft booth, so here you go! (pay no attention to the mess behind the frame...just a normal day at my work desk. ;o) )
This first one is a 6 x 12" frame I picked up at WalMart I think. (I also collect frames I'm afraid to say...) I used a simply scrappin kit from Stampin' Up! entitled Confetti. These kits have loads of self-adhesive-diecuts! Enough to do an entire mini album. The striped paper on the left is from another SS kit from last year called Primary colors. The frame, dotted stripe, dotted paper, and circle accents are all from the first kit. Since I wasn't putting pictures on this, I stuck the circles that would overlap pictures onto scraps of white cardstock and then cut them out. I then stuck them to the background with a dimensional where the picture wasn't going to be. Make sense? That way the person that uses this can easily stick their picture right under the circle.

This next one is also made using a SS kit. I guess it must be from a past catalog...can't seem to find it! sigh,...I can't keep up with my paper! ;o) While I was making this one I was thinking of my little brother in his skater days. Imagining some half pipe pictures on here....Getting nostalgic. I guess that happens around your birthday?

I was up late doing more projects (and watching Catch me if you Can with the kids) so watch for more tomorrow! Also, I will draw a name for my BLOG CANDY later today so if you haven't left me a comment, go for it!

Happy Wednesday!

These are wonderful, Becky! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Yazmin and I are planning a stamp camp (Stamp-a-Stack style) for the 20th of this month.

I love your frames Becki! GREAT job!!! I'm somewhat of a frame hoarder myself, so I totally understand. At least you're using yours! :)

Fridays challenge #63

This week has been crazy. We had a fun Labor day and then actually went to school the rest of the week! The storms decided to stay away for a while. I'm glad. Our challenge this time was a color challenge. The colors are Ridinghood red, Tangerine and Pacific Point. All new In Colors at Stampin' Up! for the new catalog. I love all these colors but, together....they were a challenge! I decided to play up the red and blue and use the tangerine as a highlight. I pulled out my True Friend stamp set and stamped the large medallion style stamp all over the ridinghood red using my basic black stamp pad. It looked okay....but then I remembered the Banadana technique Pat shared in a recent Technique Junkie newsletter . You all know how much I LOVE my white gel pen, so...I went to work. I won't tell you how the bandana technique works, you'll have to visit Pat for that info. She puts out a fabulous newsletter every other month, FULL of great stampin ideas. I hear she has some gre...

Soccer, projects and....Blog Candy!!

Okay, I know I promised to post some blog candy a couple days ago but, what was I thinking? The weekend has become the crazy part of my week! We have entered the World of Soccer. All you soccer moms out there will totally know what I am talking about. We are still in the little leagues of it, only one practice a week and one game. Per child of course....I'm glad my son decided he didn't want to play. Two kids is enough! It was a beautiful weekend tho. The weather was awesome. The sun got bright during the afternoon game, but every few minutes it would rain so, it kept us nice an comfy. Only in Florida can you have rain on a sunny day. It is one of the wonders of the world. I put together a few goodies for Blog Candy today. I have been having way too much fun making stuff with coasters and patterned paper lately. Stampin' Up! has made it even easier to use these two items together by offering the Tombow Liquid Adhesive. If you haven't used it, you've got to! It is aw...

Birthday blog candy!

In honor of my birthday, I am offering another package of blog candy! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite thing about getting older. :o) The candy includes a package of cardstock, metal edge tags, sanding block, cool metal border stickers, silver gel pen, and a set of mini gift cards stamped by yours truly. For some reason, my 'rechargeable batteries' decided not to 'recharge' anymore. I am quite distraught about that. I planned to share these pictures a couple of days ago, but....I had to wait til I bought some new batteries. I have to say tho, I was really afraid I had broken my camera! I'm glad it is just the batteries! I borrowed my friend's Precious stamp set the other day and have been having fun with it! I made this card using a square card base of chocolate chip (5-12" square). I stamped the swirlies in blue bayou onto a large piece of whisper white and onto a smaller piece. I cut out a butterfly and stuck i...
