A change is as good as a rest....

Or so my mother always said. I don't know about that these days. I have had tons of changes going on in my life, but I don't exactly feel rested!
We are all moved in and functioning well. Almost all the boxes are gone....if you don't look in the garage. I am really enjoying my new house but missing my old 'home' and friends terribly! I appreciate all the calls, emails, and cards from everyone. You keep me going!
I haven't set up my office enough to stamp yet and it is driving me crazy!
My goal was/is to get the kids areas all set up first so they could be settled to start school. Everyone but Jared started last week. He starts tomorrow. Then, maybe, just maybe, I can get MY stuff together!
I did do something creative the other day tho....I had ordered these Ginormous Flowers for my white van but then changed cars. My sister really liked them so we attacked her suburban with them. Aren't they great?! We did both sides and a few on the 'tail', all with one set. You get a LOT of flowers!
It looks great and makes it super easy to spot your car in a sea of cars at the mall. There are lots of choices in the new catalog....order something for your car! They are way easy to put on, don't hurt the paint, and are easy to remove when you want to change them. Do a different theme for each season! LOL
My goal is to actually stamp/scrapbook this week. Cross your fingers!!

Love the car. I think I might have to try that on my little white Hyundai. So cute!

Bradley

Sunday, my best friend died. My sweetheart of 20 years died suddenly from diabetes. We didn't know he had diabetes. It came quick and took him from me. Brad was more than just my husband, he was my best friend. I relied so very much on his strength to guide me and my children through this life. I admit I feel a bit lost without him, already. I had planned on much, much more time with him. Brad and I met on January 28th, 1989. We were both at a nightclub for under age night with our friends that had dragged us there. We were both ready to leave when we were talked into one more dance. That dance changed our lives. We hit it off right away and danced the rest of the night. In face, we were together from then on. I remember that after that night, I waited all day for his call. It was love right away for me. I felt something I had never felt before and knew that he was the one for me. We dated for six months before Brad went to Texas to go to school. We talked a lot on the phone, and I...

Birthday blog candy!

In honor of my birthday, I am offering another package of blog candy! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite thing about getting older. :o) The candy includes a package of cardstock, metal edge tags, sanding block, cool metal border stickers, silver gel pen, and a set of mini gift cards stamped by yours truly. For some reason, my 'rechargeable batteries' decided not to 'recharge' anymore. I am quite distraught about that. I planned to share these pictures a couple of days ago, but....I had to wait til I bought some new batteries. I have to say tho, I was really afraid I had broken my camera! I'm glad it is just the batteries! I borrowed my friend's Precious stamp set the other day and have been having fun with it! I made this card using a square card base of chocolate chip (5-12" square). I stamped the swirlies in blue bayou onto a large piece of whisper white and onto a smaller piece. I cut out a butterfly and stuck i...

Soccer, projects and....Blog Candy!!

Okay, I know I promised to post some blog candy a couple days ago but, what was I thinking? The weekend has become the crazy part of my week! We have entered the World of Soccer. All you soccer moms out there will totally know what I am talking about. We are still in the little leagues of it, only one practice a week and one game. Per child of course....I'm glad my son decided he didn't want to play. Two kids is enough! It was a beautiful weekend tho. The weather was awesome. The sun got bright during the afternoon game, but every few minutes it would rain so, it kept us nice an comfy. Only in Florida can you have rain on a sunny day. It is one of the wonders of the world. I put together a few goodies for Blog Candy today. I have been having way too much fun making stuff with coasters and patterned paper lately. Stampin' Up! has made it even easier to use these two items together by offering the Tombow Liquid Adhesive. If you haven't used it, you've got to! It is aw...
