This is the next card I made. I was dying to use the doodles stamped in White on Black...to me, that is just what it was made for! I stamped this in white and then colored it in with the metallic pencils. I used a blender PENCIL that I got from the art store to soften the metallic pencils. It is great for blending the colors and getting rid of those pencil lines. The card really has a shimmer in person. I added a big glob of crystal effects to the center of the flower and sunk a rhinestone into it. I also added drops of CE to the little blue flower middles and the dots along the bottom leaf. I used my white gel pen to dot the corners, added a silver Mini Brad to the upper right and lower left corners and tied on some black gingham. It really looks nice in person....you'll have to come see it!

In honor of my birthday, I am offering another package of blog candy! Sunday, my best friend died. My sweetheart of 20 years died suddenly from diabetes. We didn't know he had diabetes. It came quick and took him from me. Brad was more than just my husband, he was my best friend. I relied so very much on his strength to guide me and my children through this life. I admit I feel a bit lost without him, already. I had planned on much, much more time with him. Brad and I met on January 28th, 1989. We were both at a nightclub for under age night with our friends that had dragged us there. Soccer, projects and....Blog Candy!!

Okay, I know I promised to post some blog candy a couple days ago but, what was I thinking? The weekend has become the crazy part of my week! We have entered the World of Soccer. All you soccer moms out there will totally know what I am talking about. We are still in the little leagues of it, only one practice a week and one game. Per child of course....I'm glad my son decided he didn't want to play. Two kids is enough! It was a beautiful weekend tho. The weather was awesome. The sun got bright during the afternoon game, but every few minutes it would rain so, it kept us nice an comfy. Only in Florida can you have rain on a sunny day. It is one of the wonders of the world. I put together a few goodies for Blog Candy today. I have been having way too much fun making stuff with coasters and patterned paper lately.
