I was playing with the watercolor crayons last night. I need to do that more. I still haven't totally mastered them. They have such potential tho. I love it when I make something I like. This stamp from the SAB Happy Harmony just needs to be watercolored. I love how soft the flowers look. You can't really tell here, but I used glitter on them. I know, glitter again! The glitter intensified the color of the flowers and added a little more fantasy feel to them. I did actually use watercolor paper for this. I colored onto the stamp with the crayons and then stamped onto watercolor paper I had already spritzed with water. I think this is my favorite way to use these. The colors used were always artichoke and almost amethyst with a touch of ballet blue. I love how you can blend colors and shade with the crayons! It makes me feel like an artist! The paper is Mellow Moss and Barely Banana. I added a couple mini brads to anchor the whole thing. I stamped the French Flair background with a Versamark in the background. This background stamp is so versatile! You can use all of it or just a little bit. It is my new favorite!

I have my brayer class tonight so...you may be seeing more brayer cards. It is amazing at all you can do with that tool! Have a happy day!

I love this card. I just borrowed this set yesterday but I haven't had a chance to play yet. And I love everything I see with the BG stamp. It is so pretty.

Too cute Becky. I love the crayons and haven't even bought them yet. I know that I really need to with their endless possibilities. Had a great Stampin and Scrappin at my house last night, still moving forward. Now to just get back to parties.

Bradley

Sunday, my best friend died. My sweetheart of 20 years died suddenly from diabetes. We didn't know he had diabetes. It came quick and took him from me. Brad was more than just my husband, he was my best friend. I relied so very much on his strength to guide me and my children through this life. I admit I feel a bit lost without him, already. I had planned on much, much more time with him. Brad and I met on January 28th, 1989. We were both at a nightclub for under age night with our friends that had dragged us there. We were both ready to leave when we were talked into one more dance. That dance changed our lives. We hit it off right away and danced the rest of the night. In face, we were together from then on. I remember that after that night, I waited all day for his call. It was love right away for me. I felt something I had never felt before and knew that he was the one for me. We dated for six months before Brad went to Texas to go to school. We talked a lot on the phone, and I...

Soccer, projects and....Blog Candy!!

Okay, I know I promised to post some blog candy a couple days ago but, what was I thinking? The weekend has become the crazy part of my week! We have entered the World of Soccer. All you soccer moms out there will totally know what I am talking about. We are still in the little leagues of it, only one practice a week and one game. Per child of course....I'm glad my son decided he didn't want to play. Two kids is enough! It was a beautiful weekend tho. The weather was awesome. The sun got bright during the afternoon game, but every few minutes it would rain so, it kept us nice an comfy. Only in Florida can you have rain on a sunny day. It is one of the wonders of the world. I put together a few goodies for Blog Candy today. I have been having way too much fun making stuff with coasters and patterned paper lately. Stampin' Up! has made it even easier to use these two items together by offering the Tombow Liquid Adhesive. If you haven't used it, you've got to! It is aw...

Doubles with candy!!

Today is another fun summer day at my house. The kids are running here and there and I'm just trying to keep up. I realized I hadn't sent out Father's day cards yet, so that is what I worked on today. I tried to keep these nice and clean and manly. I remember going to a demonstration at a Stampin' Up! convention years ago where Kevin Theeson and another guy(I forget his name....) talked about 'manly' cards. One of the things they stressed was that guys don't like cards made with pastel cards. They prefer bold bright and earth element colors. I'm not sure if they suggested we stay away from florals too, but I kind of figured that was a safe idea. ;o) For this card I started with some textured Wild Wasabi cardstock cut to 10-1/2 x 5-1/4. That gave me a 5-1/4" card when folded. The striped paper across the center is from a retired SU simply scrappin kit...primary colors I think it was called. I added a strip of Real Red to each side of the stripes for...
