Owl-ways friends


I'm still feeling the love of orange and chocolate. Maybe I can talk my mom into bringing me some when we meet up in Salt Lake. For those of you that don't know, I am going to Salt Lake City to take a course to become a certified Professional Organizer. I am so excited! This is something that I have been doing for good friends for years now. I totally love it! I love helping people find peace and contentment in their homes. It amazes me the difference a little organization can make in someone's life and I love being a part of it! So...If you are in the area and need some help, let me know! I'd love to help you out!
Back to my card.....this is another card using the same DSP as yesterday and the same Owl set. I added some tangerine hearts I cut out using my Sizzix. I sponged the edges with cocoa to soften them and pull it together. The striped ribbon is also Tangerine. This card is for a dear friends birthday. We have been friends forever! We have lived on opposite sides of the country for a long time now, but I still love catching up with her when I can.

Birthday blog candy!

In honor of my birthday, I am offering another package of blog candy! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite thing about getting older. :o) The candy includes a package of cardstock, metal edge tags, sanding block, cool metal border stickers, silver gel pen, and a set of mini gift cards stamped by yours truly. For some reason, my 'rechargeable batteries' decided not to 'recharge' anymore. I am quite distraught about that. I planned to share these pictures a couple of days ago, but....I had to wait til I bought some new batteries. I have to say tho, I was really afraid I had broken my camera! I'm glad it is just the batteries! I borrowed my friend's Precious stamp set the other day and have been having fun with it! Soccer, projects and....Blog Candy!!

Okay, I know I promised to post some blog candy a couple days ago but, what was I thinking? The weekend has become the crazy part of my week! We have entered the World of Soccer. All you soccer moms out there will totally know what I am talking about. We are still in the little leagues of it, only one practice a week and one game. Per child of course....I'm glad my son decided he didn't want to play. Two kids is enough! It was a beautiful weekend tho. The weather was awesome. The sun got bright during the afternoon game, but every few minutes it would rain so, it kept us nice an comfy. Only in Florida can you have rain on a sunny day. It is one of the wonders of the world. I put together a few goodies for Blog Candy today. I have been having way too much fun making stuff with coasters and patterned paper lately.
