Don't you love me?

So, is this a good excuse for not posting new stuff?? LOL I just had to take a picture of Nikki. He was just begging for some love! I was actually working at my desk, something I don't do much because I have two big tables set up to scrap. I am a table hog! So, I usually end up at the tables instead of my desk. But, I was attempting to stamp here and he decided he was more important and just plopped himself down in the middle of my creative mess. He was purring, so...it was all okay! This picture can also count as a sneak peek into my office. I am still planning on posting some pictures if and when I get it in photo ready condition. It is close! I just need to make some labels and....move the cat!
Here is one of the cards I was playing around with when I was so rudely interrupted. ;o). I just barely got the Monkey Business set on Saturday. It was one of SEVEN new sets I earned during Sellabration. I was going to wait and use my SAB points til after the retiring list came out but...I just couldn't wait! I had so much fun playing with these stamps! The monkey is just TOO cute! I used barely banana as the card base, layered a piece of chocolate chip cardstock across the middle and then a layer of patterned paper from the spring showers set. I stamped my monkey and the words on white using chocolate chip and then used the blender pens to add some blush blossom to the monkey's tummy and snout. The heart behind the words is stamped with summer sun. I used my scallop shears along the bottom of the card and then sponged summer sun there and across the top of the card. It is all tied together with some chocolate ribbon. I think this set is just too much fun! I made several cards and have plans for a fun scrap page too!

Birthday blog candy!

In honor of my birthday, I am offering another package of blog candy! All you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite thing about getting older. :o) The candy includes a package of cardstock, metal edge tags, sanding block, cool metal border stickers, silver gel pen, and a set of mini gift cards stamped by yours truly. For some reason, my 'rechargeable batteries' decided not to 'recharge' anymore. I am quite distraught about that. I planned to share these pictures a couple of days ago, but....I had to wait til I bought some new batteries. I have to say tho, I was really afraid I had broken my camera! I'm glad it is just the batteries! I borrowed my friend's Precious stamp set the other day and have been having fun with it! I made this card using a square card base of chocolate chip (5-12" square). I stamped the swirlies in blue bayou onto a large piece of whisper white and onto a smaller piece. I cut out a butterfly and stuck i...

Soccer, projects and....Blog Candy!!

Okay, I know I promised to post some blog candy a couple days ago but, what was I thinking? The weekend has become the crazy part of my week! We have entered the World of Soccer. All you soccer moms out there will totally know what I am talking about. We are still in the little leagues of it, only one practice a week and one game. Per child of course....I'm glad my son decided he didn't want to play. Two kids is enough! It was a beautiful weekend tho. The weather was awesome. The sun got bright during the afternoon game, but every few minutes it would rain so, it kept us nice an comfy. Only in Florida can you have rain on a sunny day. It is one of the wonders of the world. I put together a few goodies for Blog Candy today. I have been having way too much fun making stuff with coasters and patterned paper lately. Stampin' Up! has made it even easier to use these two items together by offering the Tombow Liquid Adhesive. If you haven't used it, you've got to! It is aw...

Fridays challenge #63

This week has been crazy. We had a fun Labor day and then actually went to school the rest of the week! The storms decided to stay away for a while. I'm glad. Our challenge this time was a color challenge. The colors are Ridinghood red, Tangerine and Pacific Point. All new In Colors at Stampin' Up! for the new catalog. I love all these colors but, together....they were a challenge! I decided to play up the red and blue and use the tangerine as a highlight. I pulled out my True Friend stamp set and stamped the large medallion style stamp all over the ridinghood red using my basic black stamp pad. It looked okay....but then I remembered the Banadana technique Pat shared in a recent Technique Junkie newsletter . You all know how much I LOVE my white gel pen, so...I went to work. I won't tell you how the bandana technique works, you'll have to visit Pat for that info. She puts out a fabulous newsletter every other month, FULL of great stampin ideas. I hear she has some gre...
